Last week, I ran my first race of 2015 at the GWB Challenge in support of the American Cancer Society. I ran the 10K (6.2 miles) course and I beat my last 10K time by ONE MINUTE — that’s huge for me :)! The best thing about the race? I reached my fundraising goal for ACS.
After that accomplishment, I felt more motivated than ever that I signed up for two more races – the Verizon Corporate Classic 5K Run in July and the NYRR Staten Island Half Marathon in October. Instead of just finishing a race, I’m determined to beat my 5K time (30 min or less) and half marathon time (under 2:30 hours).
