Well, except if it includes thunder and lightening…ha!
This past week I haven’t kept up with my workouts due to my work schedule. I only ran 3 miles on a treadmill on Tuesday and then strength training on my legs Wednesday. It’s better than no workouts at all this week, but I should’ve done better. Working at my desk from 9-5:30pm (sometimes even 6pm) can sometimes take a toll in your body. I’ve been working out in the mornings (I go to a gym at work — no excuses), but I’ve overslept a few times this week, so I ended up making up my workouts after work.
Which is I why I made up for it today, even in the rain! I don’t usually like running or any type of workout when it rains because it depresses me to the point that I don’t want to do anything. This time, I actually went out of my comfort zone and did it.
We’re expecting rain all day today and tomorrow in the east coast, but the weather was light rain (or at least to me anyways) so I ended up running over 5K around my neighborhood. Plus, I ran continuously without stopping or walking at all (well, I did stop for about 10 seconds reading a text from my phone, but other than that, it was continuous :)). Even before I went outside, I did a 30-minute strength training session w/ Jillian Michaels’ Ripped in 30 DVD (bought it at Walmart for $8). I would’ve gone to the gym, but to be honest, the rain was refreshing after running over 3 miles!
Next week is 4th of July weekend, so I would need to workout full-time in order for me to enjoy some food — all within moderation, of course!
