I wanted to run at least 4 miles this morning, but around the 2.5 mile mark, I end up tumbling on the sidewalk. My hands were scraped big time, especially on the left hand, but not complaining because it wasn’t worse. Thankfully no broken bones, but it was quite embarrassing. Luckily, no one saw me. However, I had to jog/power walk the rest of the way home while covering my bloody hands with my shirt, which I had to threw away.
Of course, when I went to work afterwards with fingerless gloves (used them to cover my bandages), my colleagues thought I had an 80s “Flashdance” moment!
My running lesson here — wear gloves from now on.
